What scent reminds you of your youth? Or your favorite scented memories:
My mums food, my mum, my dad, my sister, my cat, my friends, fresh grass, mud, cats, bunnies, fresh washed bedclothes, summer, autumn, winter, spring.
Who always smells good?
I love my boyfriends’ smell.
What is the best smelling place you’ve ever traveled to?
The mountains of Bali. When you drive through this beautiful scenery the smell of clove and other flowers and trees hang in the air. A lot of clove gets dried next to the street. Amazing smell!
What is the best smelling restaurant/kitchen in the world?
I really like Indian food. I have never been to India, but there is a really good restaurant in Innsbruck called “Madhuban”.
What is the best smelling recipe you can cook?
I guess curry and Kaiserschmarrn.
What is your favorite memory from growing up?
Playing out in the woods or in the snow with friends.
If you were in a triathlon and you had to pick any three sports to race in, what would they be?
Snowboarding, surfing, and hiking. I’ll hike anywhere.
What are some clichés about Austrian snowboarders?
I wonder if people think riders from Austria love to ride and be in the backcountry because we grew up in the Alps. It’s true, everyone grows up riding big mountains here, and it’s some of the best terrain in the world to ride. You can hike everywhere. It’s great to be able to get away from the tens of thousands of people at a resort. In the backcountry you feel so free, the views are so beautiful, and riding down is even more amazing.
So if you had to ride one place in the world for the rest of your life, and it wasn’t in Austria, where would it be?
The Interior in B.C. (Canada). I had a great time there. There are awesome mountains, great snow and it’s completely in the wilderness.
What are some developments in the women’s snowboard industry you’re particularly stoked on?
I think the competitions are really helping. The first step was when Roxy did the Chicken Jam, which I think is great for girls. Then there was the Nikita Chickita, which was so great for the girls to see and meet each other. These comps are great for girls and push them. Same with girl snowboard videos.
